English Language Arts

The Language Arts Course introduces the skills and strategies that prepare students for high school English courses. Students practice thinking skills to access, organize, and evaluate information. They use close reading to construct, examine, and extend the meaning of different kinds of texts. They also develop effective writing skills for different topics, tasks, and audiences.  Finally, teachers work with kids to improve their vocabulary so they can read and write better.
